The household vacuum freeze dryer, also known as a home freeze dryer, is a small device designed to preserve food by removing moisture from it while maintaining its nutritional value and flavor. This process, known as lyophilization or freeze-drying, involves freezing the food and then reducing the surrounding pressure to allow the frozen water in the food to sublimate directly from the solid phase (ice) to the gas phase (vapor), bypassing the liquid phase.

Household  freeze dryer is a low-temperature vacuum dehydration equipment designed specifically for households. Through the synergistic effect of -40 ℃ freezing and 0.1Pa vacuum environment, it realizes the sublimation drying of food ice crystals, retains more than 95% of nutrients (such as vitamin C, protein and other active substances), and extends the shelf life by 18-24 months.

How Vacuum Freeze Dryer Works

1. Freezing. The food is first frozen to a very low temperature. This can be done either before placing the food in the freeze dryer or within the machine itself.

2. Vacuum Creation.The freeze dryer creates a vacuum environment, which reduces the pressure around the frozen food.

3. Sublimation.Under the vacuum, the ice in the food sublimates, meaning it transitions directly from a solid to a gas without passing through the liquid phase. This process removes the water content from the food.

4. Drying. The process continues until the desired level of dryness is achieved, typically 1-3% moisture content.
